Pros
- Sage payroll is a powerful piece of software that is easy to use, value for money, gives you a greater insight into employee costs and makes management easy.
- Ease of access and variety of reports that can be accessed
- I like the summary page, as it highlights things that need doing, for example it lets you know how long you have left to send EPS.
- Easy to use, fresh layout, can use it from anywhere
- This software is easy to use and if there are questions, the help and links section are brilliant.
Cons
- I have tried to find something I don’t like, but to be honest it works really well. It is always updated with any government changes in plenty of time. With every update Sage Payroll just gets better and better.
- Editing previous runs and submissions isn’t always straightforward and can’t help having reservations about the way that rollback of several weeks is ultimately reported when submitted via RTI
- Before making the move, I used Sage (desktop) for years and if i had to compare both then Sage Business Cloud Payroll lacks the functions that the desktop has and i found that difficult to deal with. However, Sage is improving this and more reports are being added.
- Still has a long way to go to rival or just match the desktop payroll.Processing payslips is very slow & will only recommend to clients with max 10 employees
- Sometimes the pensions module and sometimes the reports take a little while to generate
